Earlier this week, we shared a behind the scenes look at songwriting in Briana's "Let's Break It Down" post. Today we feature Songwriter, Christa, and show how she and Yemani transformed Uptown Funk to reflect her love of her hometown! While songwriting is often completely original, Christa and Yemani did a song transformation, replacing Bruno Mars' lyrics with Christa's very own. After creating the lyrics, Christa and Yemani worked together to record and arrange the song. Christa performed "Lawrenceburg Funk" at the Spring Concert and it was an instant hit!
